The idea for the expression for this Santa came from a coke bottle. I never try to copy an expression but I do study other characters to help inspire me. I actually redesigned this one. The first design turned out looking like a Hillbilly with Santa's hat on. Available as an original casting in the Limited Edition Set only.

This one has been fun.I like to see if folks can figure out what I designed this Santa on. You folks from the South recognize it as a Magnolia tree seed pod. When you would run across the yard and hit one of these with your bare feet, it would put you on the ground quick. This Santa always appeared to me like he was cradled inside the moon. His expression is very different from most any of my Santa Ornaments. This Santa is still available singly in very limited quantities. He is also included in the 4 Set and the Limited Edition Set.

This one caused a bit of a stir. It was the first time I ever used something to design my Santa other than wood related. I had been to the beach that year and it just seemed like the thing to do. As a matter of fact I picked up the shell on a beach in South Carolina. Santa 1997 is still available singly and in both sets.
